A study evaluated the effect of eating between 40g and 90g of macadamia nuts daily and how this affects cholesterol levels in 54-year-old people with hypercholesterolemia for 1 month. The results showed that people who took portions of macadamia daily reduced their total cholesterol, especially LDL (bad cholesterol).
